I think Abalos has a point on that. It's a safe and respectful notion.

Comment on Philippine Green Republican Party by Roy Cabonegro

My name is Roy Cabonegro. I am the interim convenor of the Partido Kalikasan Metro Manila Airshed, one of 7 local greens organizations who comprised the current Partido Kalikasan. I am also Secretary-General of the Partido Kalikasan Institute, a support non-government-organization for the formation of Partido Kalikasan.

Roughly translated Partido Kalikasan means Party for Nature.

We consider ourselves part of th emerging national green party in the Philippines. We started our process in December 2003 with an initial national assembly held in Marikina City. To read the report of that assembly, please email me at roy@partidokalikasan.org and ill be glad to email to you a copy.

We do not claim that we are the only green movement trying to form a genuinely unified national green party in the Phiippines. We recognized with much respect the earlier efforts of Philippine Greens, a green movement in the country who recently commemorated their first decade of work. We also recognize the many independent local green movements, environmental/sustainable development/ecological NGOs, Cooperatives, Peoples' Organizations that are active in many parts of the Philippines who have equal right to the formation of a national green party in the country. We call on all of them to unite under a common national green party that e can all build together.

We have no prior knowledge and engagement with the Philippine Greens Republican Party and its candidate in the last Philippine Senatoriable elections, Mr. Felix Cantal. We do not know this group and we do not know Mr. Cantal and we have not heard about them until they got accredited with by the COMELEC as a national political party. In our many years in the green movement in the country, we have not heard of this group nor Mr. Cantal as being actively involve in current and past environmental/ greens/ sustainable development issues and advocacies.

If the Philippine Greens Republican Party will genuinely form a national greem movement and fight our campaigns and advocacies; just like to other green movements, we extent to them our hand of solidarity.

In an inquiry to Philippine Greens Secretary-General, Obet Verzola, he informs me that the Philippine Greens Republican Party is not part of the Philippine Greens and that Mr. Verzola does not know Mr. Cantal.

Partido Kalikasan is not yet officially registered with the COMELEC as a national political party.

Our official party website is www.partidokalikasan.org

You may contact partido kalikasn through the office of the Partido Kalikasan Institute at 2011 V.V. Soliven Bldg, EDSA, San Juan, Metro Manila. We are still setting up the phoneline for this office.

Last elections, 2 local partido kalikasan organizations in Northern Mindanao and Mindoro island fielded candidates (as alliance candidate of local opposition parties)for town/city councillor positions. We lost our bid in Cagayan de oro City but we won some councillor positions in the Calapan, Mindoro.

We are now urging party members to consider running in the Octobe 2007 Barangay (village) council elections.

if all these statements were true we can therefore say that the debate on whether mayor robredo is a filipino citizen or not should be thrown to the garbages. the question now is: what really is the motive of the villafuerte camp when they filed the disqualification case against robredo?
